Bennelong Energy Services is proud to announce the successful supply, installation, and commissioning of five electric vehicle (EV) chargers for Honeywell at Long Bay Forensic Hospital, further strengthening our position as a trusted partner in critical infrastructure and high-compliance environments.

From initial planning through to final commissioning, the project was delivered safely, efficiently, and to a standard well above industry expectations.

A Seamless Installation from Start to Finish

The installation was completed without disruption to site operations, demonstrating Bennelong’s ability to work within live, high-risk environments where safety, coordination, and compliance are paramount.

The chargers were strategically positioned within designated EV parking bays, supported by:

  • Robust concrete foundations

  • Protective bollards

  • Clear line marking and signage

  • Clean, professional cable management

The final result is a future-ready EV charging solution that integrates seamlessly into the site’s existing infrastructure while providing a safe and intuitive user experience.

Built on Petroleum-Grade Standards

What sets Bennelong Energy Services apart is our deep experience in the petroleum and hazardous area sector. That experience directly informed how this EV charging infrastructure was delivered.

Our team applied the same principles used across fuel terminals, service stations, and critical energy assets, including:

  • Rigorous risk assessment and hazard mitigation

  • High standards of electrical segregation and earthing

  • Mechanical protection of assets against vehicle impact

  • Clear operational interfaces for end users

This approach ensures that EV infrastructure is not only functional, but engineered for longevity, safety, and operational reliability.

Commissioned, Tested, and Ready for Use

All five chargers were fully commissioned and tested to confirm:

  • Correct electrical operation

  • Compliance with relevant Australian Standards

  • Reliable connectivity and performance

  • Safe and consistent charging functionality

The chargers are now operational and ready to support NSW Health transition toward a more sustainable fleet.

Supporting the Energy Transition with Confidence

Projects like this highlight Bennelong Energy Services’ ability to bridge traditional energy expertise with emerging technologies. Our background in petroleum, combined with our growing EV capability, allows us to deliver charging infrastructure that meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

We thank Honeywell for the opportunity to deliver this project and look forward to continuing our work supporting the energy transition across healthcare, government, commercial, and industrial sectors.
